Chik-Wauk is Open for the Season

     Happiness is having Chik-Wauk open again for the summer season. It’s a great place to visit on a sunny or rainy day. There’s a new exhibit and plenty of hiking trails to keep everyone busy. When you’re on the Gunflint Trail be sure to visit Chik-Wauk!

Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center opens for its fourth season this Saturday, May 25. From that date on, Chik-Wauk is open every day – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. – until Sunday, October 20. Admission fees are: $3 for adults, $2 for kids 5-18, and Gunflint Trail Historical Society and children under five: free. This year only, Chik-Wauk features a temporary exhibit about the Boostrom Family of Clearwater Lake. Many other elements, including a new film in the theatre area and a self-guided naturalist program for families, make their debut this season.
