Catching Frogs

The Boundary Waters is such a great place to spend a vacation.  Paddling across wilderness lakes, watching eagles soar overhead or listening to the quiet solitude surrounding you.  These are just a few of the benefits of a wilderness canoe trip.

Many activities await those who choose to take a canoe camping trip in the wilderness.  There’s fish to be caught, frogs to chase and turtles to watch as they sun themselves on a log.  There’s loons to listen to, stars to gaze at and cool clean water to swim in.  The wilderness is a classroom where you can learn to identify trees, birds and plants.  You can pick blueberries, raspberries and thimbleberries or make rose hip tea.

There’s a whole new world out there waiting to be discovered by you.  I hope you will find the time to come and experience the peace and serenity the BWCA can offer you.
