The Minnesota Opener in the Boundary Waters is just after the ice goes out. Lake Trout are shallow and trophy Northern Pike lurk just beneath the surface. You can fish and camp with Mike and enjoy his entertaining personality. Everyone will participate in all aspects of the trip including paddling, portaging and camp chores such as tent set up, collecting fire wood, dishes, etc.
The trip will consist of a completely outfitted Pro-Angler Package that includes everything you need for a BWCA canoe camping and fishing adventure. All items including food, Kevlar canoes and bait will be provided for this 4-day trip.
This is the first time in our 17 years of owning Voyageur that Mike has offered to go camping with guests and it may be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Guests will arrive at Voyageur on Friday, May 8th for an evening in the bunk before heading out into the BWCA on Saturday, May 9th.
