Busy Weekend on the Gunflint Trail

There are a few great reasons to visit the Gunflint Trail this weekend.  It’s the Boundary Waters Expo, National Get Outdoors Day and Take a Kid Fishing Weekend.  Think of it as a trifecta- you win when you visit the trail this weekend.

Another reason to visit the Gunflint Trail is so you can visit Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center. There’s a whole new building for kids with six stations for them to learn about the natural history of the Gunflint Trail.  There is also a shrimp boil and bake on Sunday at 4pm at the Seagull Lake Community Center.
