Bald, Brave and Beautiful

     The Bald, Brave and Beautiful is part of the annual Mush for a Cure event.  These contestants put their "head" or I should say, "hair" on the line to raise money during the event. When we first started the event we thought we would just make the person with the most money on their head get shaved, but we didn’t want the others to feel left out so we just had all of the contestants get their heads shaved.

     This year we had three brave men on the chopping block. All three of them are business owners in Cook County, Forrest Parsons of Hungry Jack Lodge, Bruce Kerfoot of Gunflint Lodge and Scott Harrison of Lutsen Resort. The three of them raised a total of $6001 and got their heads shaved on Friday night.

     This is a popular event of our Mush for a Cure and we’re so thankful for the participants each year. The spectators love to watch the shaving and it is all for a great cause. The next time you see any of our Bald, Brave and Beautiful participants be sure to give them a high five for their efforts and sacrifice.
