A Walk on the Ice

Today we were able to enjoy a nice walk on the ice. We were going to hike the Seagull Lake Nature Trail but when we got to the Trail’s End Campground we decided there was plenty of ice to walk on.  There’s a couple of inches of snow on top of the ice so it wasn’t slippery and because there was so little snow it was very easy going. I wish we had pulled along a portable fishing shelter so we could have tried our luck at spearing northern pike.  I also wished I had more time so I could have went out to the palisades but a short walk is better than no walk at all. It was a beautiful day for a walk on the ice with a light snow falling and barely a breeze.
