What’s Up With the Pagami Creek Fire

The good news is the Pagami Creek Fire is pretty much out of the news.  It is currently 61% contained and is expected to be 100% contained by Saturday.  The size of the fire has decreased in size from first estimates of over 100,000 acres due to better mapping and is currently estimated to be at 93,459 acres.

There are still over 700 firefighters on the Pagami Creek Fire.  Aircrafts continue to drop water onto hot spots and the perimeter of the fire.   Infrared technology is being used to help locate hot spots so firefighters can work on those areas. The firefighters long hours of work are paying off as the Pagami dies a slow death.
