AMOUNTS AROUND 2 FEET IN PARTS OF THE TWIN PORTS…TO 8 TO
16 INCHES ACROSS MUCH OF THE REST OF NORTHEAST MINNESOTA…WITH
LESSER AMOUNTS OF 7 TO 10 INCHES TOWARD PHILLIPS AND PARKS FALLS.
RAIN AND FREEZING RAIN WILL ALSO FALL ACROSS MUCH OF NORTHWEST
WISCONSIN INTO EASTERN MINNESOTA…BUT WILL SWITCH TO ALL SNOW BY
MID TO LATE AFTERNOON AS TEMPERATURES COOL. MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION REPORTED INTERSTATE 35 FROM RUSH CITY TO DULUTH
WAS VERY HAZARDOUS. HIGHWAY 53 FROM DULUTH TO INTERNATIONAL FALLS
WAS ALSO IN POOR SHAPE…BUT WAS FAIR AROUND THE VIRGINIA AREA.
