Water
For once I am not talking about the Boundary Waters, but just plain old water that your body needs. I love to drink Diet Coke but I need to force myself to drink water. When I alternate a bottle of water with a bottle of Diet Coke I feel much better. Drinking water keeps me hydrated and helps both my body and my brain to perform better. On a long drive if I drink water I will feel more awake than if I just stick with my caffeine in my Diet Coke. So, why don’t I drink more water? I guess I am a slow learner and need to be reminded of the many benefits of drinking good old water.
- Water helps remove by-products created during the breakdown of fat tissue.
- Water flushes toxins out of your system, helps relieve stress and can promote a sense of balance.
- Water helps digestion, circulation and helps you regulate your body temperature.
These are just a few of the reasons to grab a glass or bottle of water, feel better and say, "Cheers!"
