I was able to get a little bit of frost on my eyelashes and I have to admit it was too cold to be skiing the other day. With the 30 below windchill it was a bit much. It didn’t get as cold as predicted with a mid-trail low on the 18th of negative 25.20. It warmed up yesterday and the temperatures were nice for snowmobiling. We took a ride on Gunflint Lake and headed East towards North, South, Rose, and Arrow. The scenery was fantastic with the cliffs on Rose and Arrow and all of the narrow streams along the way. It would make a nice kayak trip with the long bodies of water and short portages in between. It’s a little soon to start thinking about paddling, but summer will be here before we know it.
