Volunteer Opportunities in the Forest
The Northwoods Volunteer Connection held an open house at Voyageur Brewing Company last night. They partner with the USFS Superior National Forest and other local organizations to offer volunteer opportunities in the forest which includes the BWCA. Among the other organizations are the Superior Hiking Trail Association, Border Route Trail Association and many other hiking, skiing and other outdoor non-profits.
They help promote trail clearing events and other opportunities to volunteer in the forest. Be sure to check out their website for opportunities to volunteer in the BWCA and on the Gunflint Trail.
