This Year’s Fishing Opener

A fishing opener to remember that’s for sure.  For the past twenty years I’ve spent most of the fishing openers on the Gunflint Trail.  I may have missed a year somewhere along the line but I know this was the first year I spent fishing opener watching my daughter get ready for prom. Maybe not quite as exciting as catching a trophy fish but it was memorable, that’s for sure.
