The Sky IS Blue

This morning there is some blue sky peaking out between the grey clouds. I was beginning to wonder if it still existed after a dreary week of rain and clouds. If we’re lucky we might even get to see the sun shine throughout the day, that would be nice.

The forecast for today calls for partly cloudy and tomorrow there is a 0% chance of rain. You don’t see that forecast very often. It’s a good thing because the Cook County Vikings football team has a playoff game and after the rainy game on Tuesday they deserve a dry game.

Family members who hunt for deer will be out in the woods finding places for their deer stands this weekend. It’s always a good opportunity to take a walk in the woods and let Josh look for a grouse. Deer hunting opens next weekend on the Gunflint Trail.

Is it true this year that Daylight Saving Time doesn’t end until November 4, 2012? It’s quite dark outside in the mornings and I thought they usually tried to do it so it got dark earlier on Halloween? With Halloween next week I assumed it would end this weekend.

I hope you all get a chance to see the blue sky this weekend and spend some time in the great outdoors.
