Snowmobile Club Fun
The Cook County Ridge Riders Snowmobile Club has a snowmobiling season of fun planned for the upcoming winter. If you have a snowmobile then plan on joining this fun bunch of people for some riding fun.
The Club kicks off their season with a party at the Howlin’ Wolf on December 6, 2008. There’s a buffet dinner, live music, prize drawings and drinks of course. They have a number of great day rides planned as well as a couple of overnight trips. They sponsor Poker Runs, Drag Races and of course the Annual Trout Derby Picnic and fishing contest.
If you ride snowmobile trails in and around Grand Marais then you can thank the Snowmobile Club. They are responsible for trail maintenance and grooming. The money they collect for memberships to the club are used to keep the trails in shape for everyone to ride. So, even if you can’t make it to the kick-off party or any of their events but you spend time on the snowmobile trails then you can feel free to make a donation to help support the club.
To see the schedule of fun planned be sure to check out their website. If you click on the photo gallery page then you’ll even see some photos I took of some of our rides. There’s no excuse to not have fun snowmobiling this winter when the Ridge Riders have so much fun planned.
