Snow Makes Me Happy

     It looks like winter in the northland finally.  The north shore and Grand Marais received a much needed snowfall and are blanketed with the white stuff. We’ve got lots of snow on the Gunflint Trail and I couldn’t be happier.

     Voyageur Crew members were up this past week and enjoyed the winter wonderland.  Jake, Jessica and Tessa were all up for some winter fun.  Jake and Jessica did alot of ice fishing and catching.  They had an awesome day catching and releasing over 20 lake trout.  The other days weren’t as good but they still had fun and even saw a black wolf on the ice.  Tessa visited the Seagull Lake palisades that look entirely different when the land is blanketed in snow and the lake is frozen over.

     It’s great to have crew members come and spend time on the Gunflint Trail in the winter. It’s alot different than the summer time but it’s just as spectacular.
