Quetico Park Fire Ban

     Due to the lack of rainfall in Ontario over the summer there is now a full fire ban in effect in the Quetico Park.

  No open fires of any kind will be allowed.  The Cache Bay Ranger Station will be closing soon for the 2006 paddling season.  Reservations will no longer be needed and camping permits will be purchased on a self-issuing basis after September 10th.  Visitor use in the Quetico and BWCA continues to slow down as the days get shorter, the nights get longer, and the lakes get more peaceful.  Come on up and enjoy the serenity of Fall in the wilderness.
