Off to the Races- Gunflint Trail Style

The Annual Canoe Race to benefit the Gunflint Trail Volunteer Fire Department are this Wednesday, July 20th.  If you’re in the area then be sure to come on up to Gunflint Lake for an evening of good food, great company and hilarious entertainment.  If you’re serious about paddling hard and winning races then you’ll probably be disappointed, but if you’re looking for a good time then come on up and join us.

The Gunflint Trail Canoe Races are designed with fun in mind.  There’s a broken paddle heat, backwards paddling and the famous gunwale pumping to name a few.  There are several age divisions for kids and adults alike.  Anyone is welcome to sign up and participate.

There will be food available as well as the famous raffle for wonderful items including a brand new Wenonah Canoe.  Don’t forget the eating contest where you can cheer on Voyageur participants Jennifer and Jake.  Come support the Gunflint Trail Volunteer Fire Department this Wednesday, July 20th!
