National Walk to Work Day

     The first Friday in April is National Walk to Work Day.  Lucky for me I work and live in the same place so it isn’t much of a sacrifice.  For some people they would have to walk a long ways to get to work so those people are encouraged to walk 30 minutes sometime today.

 Tommy G. Thompson, a U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, declared the National Walk To Work Day in 2004. He saw obesity on the rise and wanted people to add a minimum of 30 minutes of walking a day to improve their health. 

     There are so many benefits of daily exercise.  It not only can help you physically but also emotionallyl.  Join people around the globe today and participate in National Walk to Work Day.
