More Sunshine

Today is the Vernal Equinox when we will experience equal hours of sunlight and darkness.   On the Spring Equinox the Sun rises exactly in the east, travels through the sky for 12 hours, and sets exactly in the west. On the Equinox this is the path of the Sun through the sky for everyone on earth and every place on earth experiences a 12 hour day during the Spring and Fall Equinox.

This is a day to celebrate.  From now on there will be more and more daylight and the sun will shine longer and longer each day until the Summer Solstice in June.  I love the long days of summer when sunlight pours through my window early in the morning urging me to wake up and greet the day.  The early mornings make it a little difficult to stay awake until the sun sets but we take advantage of the sunlight and the energy it provides whenever we can.
