More Snow Again

A friend of mine is out cross-country skiing on the north shore of Lake Superior.  It’s a trail that’s protected by a canopy of trees and with a half of a foot of fresh snow it’s in great shape.  I wish I could go down for a ski but just yesterday I put all of my winter clothes away.  That’s a sure way to get another blast of the white stuff when you live on the Gunflint Trail.

Mike took some pictures on Friday of what it looked like at Voyageur.  There was actually non-soggy ground to walk on meaning very little mud.  Today it’s a new picturethat includes a new 4-6 inches of snow covering everything in sight once again.  It’s picturesque and it includes moisture so it’s good for the earth.  It’s not good for my plans to get out to do chainsaw work today however so that will just have to wait until the snow thaws once again.
