Lutsen Mountain Skiing

Mike and Abby were able to go downhill skiing at Lutsen Mountain on Monday for the winter exploratory day at school.  The temperature was almost too warm for skiing as the snow got a little soft in spots but it didn’t keep them from having an awesome time.

Lutsen Mountain plans to be open for skiing until April 20th this year so there’s still plenty of time to get in a day of the best downhill skiing in Minnesota.

Season Extended through April 20th!
136” of snow has blanketed the slopes this season. That’s more than 11 feet from Mother Nature laid atop a man-made base of 3 to 5 feet. An ideal 10 day forecast keeps snow loss to a minimum while providing some warm, sunny, spring days that Lutsen is famous for. That makes daily operation through April 6 and Mountain Meltdown April 12 & 13 a snap. In fact, after evaluating base, snow reserves and long-range forecast, we are pleased to add back to the calendar our Easter traditions – sunrise service on Moose Mountain and a giant Easter egg hunt on the slopes. We will be open Friday – Sunday, April 18 – 20, with half-price specials on lift and lodging for your final ski/snowboard getaway of the season.
