Got Volunteers? It’s National Volunteer Week

Are you involved in your community?  If not then this is the perfect week to get involved and create meaningful change in your community.

Maybe if I had known it was National Volunteer Week earlier this week I wouldn’t have felt so bad about my time spent at meetings this week.  As a member of a small community people must wear many different hats.  To all of you wearing different hats and volunteering your time here’s a big THANK YOU!

For those of you who want to volunteer to make a difference in your community there are plenty of options to choose from I’m sure.  Most organizations are always looking for volunteers and up here in Cook County we’re no exception.

Here’s a call out for volunteers to help with our PTA activities at ISD 166.  We’re serving breakfast snacks during MCA testings the next couple of Tuesdays & Wednesdays to help improve student’s test scores.  We can use your help for a few minutes around 8am.  If you’d rather help out with the Science Project Fair on May 10th then that’s fine too, just drop me an email.

Here’s another call out for volunteers to help with the Ham Run Half-Marathon & 5k Fun Run on Sunday, May 6th.  We’re still looking for people to join us for a fun-filled day.  If you’re available then drop me an email.

Tomorrow is the actual National Volunteer Day.  To all of you Volunteers- I salute you!

THANK YOU for all you do!
