Good Reads for a BWCA Canoe Trip

Our family loves to read books.  We’re excited there are two new books that are relevant to our area, "The Legend of the Wolves of Gunflint Lake" and "Where Memories Dream; Campfire Stories for the Boundary Waters."  Both books would be perfect for reading while on a canoe camping trip in the BWCA or while at home.

"The Legend of the Wolves of Gunflint Lake" is a children’s book about the Native people of Gunflint Lake and greed.  It’s written by Lisa Sellman and a portion of the sale of each book is donated to Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center and the International Wolf Center in Ely. You can purchase a copy of this book by giving us a call at Voyageur or dropping us an email.

Steven Coz wrote "Where Memories Dream; Campfire Stories for the Boundary Waters."  It’s a collection of stories perfect for reading around a campfire.  Steven will be signing books at the REI in Bloomington, MN on September 21st,  from 3-6pm.

If you’re looking for a book to read then give one of these a try.
