Fire at Gunflint Lodge
Around one o’clock this morning a fire broke out in a cabin at Gunflint Lodge. The cabin was occupied but luckily everyone escaped without harm. The Gunflint Trail Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene and kept nearby buildings from burning.
The cabin was one of the oldest on the property and was located farthest from the Gunflint Trail. The cabins were duplex cabins number 26 and 27 and had undergone a remodeling not too many years ago. I’m not sure if those cabins were available for timeshare sale or not. In either case they will have two less cabins to fill for the winter.
