Feeding Frenzy
It’s a feeding frenzy at the feeder this morning. The birds are taking turns landing like jets at Chicago O’Hare. Two fly off in separate directions while two swoop in from the other side. There are chickadees, nuthatches and evening grossbeaks galore. With the thermometer reading twenty below it is no wonder they are on such an urgent mission. It’s a perfect morning to sit by the fire and watch the winged wonders in the foreground while the white snow and beautiful blue sky supply the perfect background to the winter scene.
