Dragon Racing

We had a great time racing in the Dragon Boat competition on Saturday.  If you have never participated in this sport then you are missing something.  Each boat is comprised of up to 20 paddlers, a steersman, and a drummer who helps keep the crew paddling together.  There were 18 teams racing in the Grand Marais Harbor and my team was comprised of folks from the Gunflint Trail.  After the first heat we were in 1st place and ended up taking 4th place overall.  Win or lose we all had an awesome time.
