Deluge in the BWCA

It rained yesterday. And rained and rained. From sun up until sun down the sky opened up and dumped anywhere between three to five inches of rain in the Boundary Waters around the Gunflint Trail.  Paddling groups were drenched and if they were caught out in the rain they had to bail their canoes. Thunder sounded and lightning lit up the sky.  Soaked to the bone groups returned with water sopped gear.
