Cross-Country Skiing on the Gunflint Trail

It was a beautiful day to go cross-country skiing.  Ok, it was a little bit cold, around 9 degrees, but it was still wonderful.  The trees were coated with snow and when the wind blew, flakes fluttered down to the snow covered ground.  The snow on the ground sparkled under the sunlight like diamonds.  The quiet of the woods was mesmerizing and there wasn’t another person in sight.   It was nice to be back in the woods and I can’t wait to get out there again.
