Canoecopia 2007
Paddling enthusiasts won’t want to miss Canoecopia 2007 in Madison, Wisconsin. Rutabaga hosts this amazing show at the Alliant Energy Center March 9-11th. This is the world’s largest paddlesport exposition and is truly a one-of-a-kind event.
There are a number of reasons to attend Canoecopia and one reason we won’t be attending this year; Josh has his last hockey Jamboree of the year. We wish we could go and listen to all of the wonderful speakers; they have a great line up planned again this year. You can listen to paddling stories about trips all over the world including Minnesota, China, India and many more. For a full list of presentations be sure to check out their website.
Canoecopia is a great place to look for new paddling products and gear. The retailers offer terrific discounts and they are all located underneath one roof. If you’re looking for a canoe then Wenonah, Bell, Mad River and Old Town will be there along with other canoe and kayak manufacturers. There are a number of booths for accessories, books, paddling clubs, and destinations for paddling trips.
If you are looking for something to do this weekend and love paddlesports then I recommend taking a trip to Madison and Canoecopia 2007. It’s the perfect cure for the paddler’s itch that comes around about this time every year. We’re all anxious to get back in our boats so go and spend some time dreaming about it and rubbing elbows with other paddlesport fanatics.
