BWCA Canoe Trip

Our family was able to get out and enjoy the BWCA this week.  We started our trip in Larch Creek and paddled and pulled our way over beaver dams to make our way into the Granite River.  Abby(5) and Josh(4) each had a small pack of their own to carry over the portages, I took a big pack and Mike carried a pack and a MN III Canoe.  The kids sat in the middle seat of the MN III side by side and took turns paddling and fishing.  We camped in Marabeouf Lake on a beautiful island that was full of blueberries.  We fished, swam, and roasted marshmallows over the fire and enjoyed our evening in the Boundary Waters.
