Babies in the Northwoods?

We’ve been seeing lots of babies on the Gunflint Trail lately.  Of course Mork and Mindy, our resident baby moose calves are already famous.  And now we have an even newer calf on the Gunflint Trail and we’ve named it May the Moose!  It’s so exciting to have so many new moose at the end of the Gunflint Trail. It’s almost been confusing to keep track of all of our moose but we’re doing our best.

The new fox are just as abundant as the new grouse at the end of the Gunflint Trail.  There are fox pups and grouse chicks everywhere you look.  We’ve even had reports of baby loons already!  I thought they weren’t suppose to arrive until the 4th of July but we’ve had guests seeing them already.

It’s a great time to be in the Boundary Waters with all of the babies in the northwoods.  Hope to see you(and your babies) up in the northwoods soon.
