Another Snow Day

Happy, Happy, Happy! That describes the mood of the kids when school went from being 2 hours late to cancelled for the day.  They didn’t even complain when they had to shovel.  There’s less snow at the end of the Gunflint Trail than along the shore but there’s a good foot to a foot and a half of the white stuff on the ground.  Some areas like near Silver Bay where Josh plays hockey received over 30″ of snow.  The plows have been very busy the past few days.

The forecast isn’t calling for much snow over the weekend but the temperature is going to plummet.  We may only see a high of 0 degrees Farenheit tomorrow and a low of -13 degrees. That combined with the wind chill will make for a very winter like weekend in the northwoods.
