Another Beautiful Day
The sun is shining and there isn’t a cloud in the sky this morning. What a great way to start a day. Guests have been extremely happy with Mother Nature the past couple of days and it looks like she is ready to let summer begin.
The water must be warming up too. The walleye are biting, the moose are in the ponds browsing and the kids are starting to swim in the river. These are all sure signs that summer is here. Everything is just a little bit later this year but as they say, "better late than never." I never really liked that saying I prefer, "Better never late!"
The water level is as high as we have ever seen it. Docks are partly underwater and the shoreline has disappeared in some places. I was at the falls at the campground yesterday and the water was just amazing the way it was pushing through the rocks.
It’s time to come up and visit the great northwoods and enjoy this awesome place we live. Feel the sunshine on your face, smell the sweet wildflowers and listen to the waves as they lick the shore.
