There are a few things I like to watch for entertainment and one of them is anything having to do with wildlife. This neat video taught me something I didn’t know. The success rate of a fox hunting beneath the snow is increased if it is facing north. Weird, huh?
I’ve watched fox do this but I guess I have never paid attention to the direction they were facing when they pounced nor have I determined their success rate. My dog, not Rugby, but one of my huskies before Rugby would do this exact same thing. It was fun to watch her pounce head first into the snow.
It was also fun when she found a moose antler shed beneath the snow. It was amazing she could sense it when it was buried two feet below but somehow she did.
Animals are such amazing creatures…
