A Different Canoe Trip

Amy Voytilla and the Wilderness Classroom is back in South America paddling the Amazon River.  They are on the second leg of their over 3000 mile Trans-Amazon Expedition.  They started their journey last year and will be paddling from now until around May 15th.

Classrooms around the world follow their expedition and learn about the Amazon via their informative and interactive website.  You can watch video clips, listen to pod casts and follow their trip on their map.  You can even join in a live chat if you want to.

The Wilderness Classroom enables people to travel and learn about places they may never see.  It teaches kids about sustainability and global warming in a fun and interesting way.  Canoeing the Amazon is a different type of canoe trip, but it’s a canoe trip nonetheless.
