Royalex Canoes or Something Like It

If you’re a reader of my blog or other canoe industry magazines online or written then you had no doubt heard about royalex no longer being manufactured.  Many canoes have been made by royalex over the years and some outfitters and paddling enthusiasts were concerned about what could replace royalex.  The good news is someone has figured out what to use and has stepped in to make sure this type of canoe doesn’t become obsolete.

The Canadian company Esquif is planning to make a royalex like material called T-Formex.  Read the full press release here.
