Gunflint Trail Wildlife

Taking things for granted can become a bad habit.  I sometimes forget how lucky I am to see so much awesome wildlife.  I was driving the Gunflint Trail with my daughter’s friend Lucy the other day and she said, "You get to see a moose everyday up here."  While it isn’t every single day that we see a moose, we do get to see them often.  On that trip we just saw one, but the day before that I saw three moose on my way to town.  Josh and Mike were hauling loads of dirt with a dump truck and kept seeing their "fox friend", as Josh referred to it.  I saw a Timber Wolf yesterday on my way back from town.  I almost always see deer or grouse and birders have a hay day up here.  I am so fortunate to see these wonderful creatures, almost every day.
