     You know what that means right? It's over! The Fat Lady sang yesterday so Abby's basketball season and Josh's hockey season are both over.

     The day started out with a drive to Thunder Bay, Ontario. Abby's basketball team traveled up north to play against a couple of Canadian teams.  After those games were completed we headed south to Silver Bay to watch Josh's team compete in what was to be their last game of the season.

     The Silver Bay team was playing against a team from Moose Lake who we had beaten twice during the normal season. At the beginning of the 3rd period we were ahead 2-0. With about 5 minutes left the score changed to 2-1 and with about 8 seconds left on the clock Moose Lake scored to tie it and go into overtime. Neither team scored in the first overtime but Moose Lake scored in the second overtime to win the game.

     It was a disappointing loss for the team but we couldn't be prouder of them for making it to the Region Play-offs.  And if they had won we would have been back in Silver Bay today and no doubt in the State Tournament two weekends from now.

     So hockey and basketball have ended for the season.
